Students stage protests

Students under the banner of BC Welfare Association staged hunger strike here on Thursday demanding immediate release of fee reimbursement.

Addressing the gathering of students the Association district president Narala Sudhakar said that all college students pursuing science and mathematics faculties would have to appear for practical examinations within 15 days and if the government failed to release the reimbursement amount they would lose the chance to take the exams.

He said this agitation was launched in solidarity to the hunger strike of R. Krishnaiah, the all India BC Welfare Association president and MLA LB Nagar.

Nalgonda Staff Reporter adds: Members of the BC Student’s Association, Nalgonda have staged a day-long hunger fast at Clock Tower centre here on Thursday expressing solidarity with R. Krishnaiah.

President of the Association, Gandicheruvu Venkanna, demanded the State government to immediately release the pending fee reimbursement and scholarships to students with immediate effect MRPS leader Vangapalli Srinivas, Congress leader Sunkari Mallesh Goud also participated.
