Speaker offers prayers at Vemulawada

Telangana State legislative Assembly Speaker S. Madhusudhana Chary along with his family members offered prayers at Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy Devasthanam in Vemulawada of Karimnagar district on Monday.

The Speaker arrived at the temple on Sunday late night. He participated in the ‘kode mokku’ ritual at the temple.

Earlier, the temple authorities accorded traditional welcome to the Speaker amid chanting of Vedic hymns. The temple priests also presented the Speaker with portrait of the temple and prasadam.

Meanwhile, heavy pilgrims rush was witnessed at the temple on Monday. Devotees formed serpentine queues to offer prayers to the presiding deities.
