Instead of indulging in self promotion, party leaders should stay put in their villages and interact with voters to ensure victory in the ensuing Parliament elections, exhorted Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president K .T. Rama Rao.
Addressing party workers at a preparatory meeting for the ensuing Parliament elections here on Thursday, Mr. Rama Rao said they should seek vote from every individual in the village without labelling them as Congress or TRS sympathizers. “The one who contested against me in Sircilla got ₹ 4 lakh under the Rythu Bandhu scheme and we have every right to seek votes from his family,” he added.
Party leaders should strive to get along with all the people in the villages. They should stop feeling very important and not camp in Hyderabad. Instead they should stay in their village and drive the party machinery to ensure a thumping victory in Parliament elections as well, Mr. Rama Rao said.
The TRS working president urged the people of Warangal to continue their support to the party that has proved itself to be the most welfare-oriented government in the entire world. Rythu Bandhu, Mission Bhagiratha and Mission Kakatiya have earned appreciation not only within the country but all over the world, he said.
Main strength
“Warangal has been the main strength of K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the TRS. We hope you will ensure over five lakh majority to our Parliamentary candidate this time,” he said adding that Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao has allocated ₹ 300 crore per year exclusively for the development of Warangal city.
The Textile Park, ongoing irrigation projects on river Godavari, the proposed Kazipet railway coach factory and tribal university were all aimed at bringing phenomenal prosperity to the people of Warangal district, the TRS working president pointed out.
Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao, MLAs D. Vinay Bhaskar, Aruri Ramesh, N. Narender, Ch. Dharma Reddy, D. S. Redya Naik, B. Shankar Naik and MLCs K. Srihari and B. Venkateswarlu and others were present.
Party MLAs competed with each other and mobilized people in large numbers to accord a big welcome to Mr. Rama Rao who arrived from Karimnagar. They put up a grand spectacle with a bike rally and processions all over the city dotted with pink banners and flags.
