ACB nabs two Revenue officials in Karimnagar

Sleuths of the ACB nabbed Revenue Inspector B. Laxminarayana and Village Revenue Officer Ravinder for demanding and accepting Rs. 3,000 bribe from a farmer, in Kanagarthi village of Odela mandal, on Thursday.

ACB DSP T. Sudarshan Goud said that farmer A. Chandramohan applied for correction of computer revenue records for inclusion of his 29 guntas of land some months ago. He was having correct passbooks and title deeds but the Revenue authorities have made wrong entries.

For the correction, the Revenue Department officials demanded Rs. 5,000.

Later, the farmer, with the help of a PhD student, B Srinivas of the village, assured to give Rs.3,000, and informed the same to the ACB. Both the Revenue officials were arrested.
