Research scholars should ensure quality, says V-C

Telangana University Vice-Chancellor C. Parthasarathi advised Ph.D scholars to ensure quality in their research work and not copy from other research papers. Addressing the inaugural of the Ph.D Course Work at the TU campus at Dichpally on Monday, he said that the time of cut and paste in research had gone. Research should be based on contemporary issues and be useful to society. “Your research findings should be authentic and new and match international standards, he added.

Asking the guides for Ph.D students not to compromise with the quality he said varsities should not be made factories of research pattas. He also advised students not to tread wrong paths to get admission in Ph.Ds and getting awarded doctorate. “To bring name and fame to Telangana University you need to do the research with utmost sincerity,” said Mr. Parthasarathi.

Varsity Registrar R. Limbadri said that in a couple of months another notification for Ph.D admissions will be issued. University College Principal and Dean of Arts Prof Kanakaiah presided over the meeting.
