The district administration has embarked on making elaborate arrangements for conduct of the byelection to Warangal parliamentary seat that is going for polls on November 21.

The police department had already set up 64 check posts all over the district and on borders, and clamped Section 144 prohibiting gathering of people in large numbers without prior permission.

On Wednesday, police seized Rs.8.38 lakh. On Thursday, they recovered Rs.12 lakh from a trader at a check post at Pembarthy village near Jangaon. As the cash was found without proper documents, the same was handed over to the IT Department.

“If anyone indulges in illegal supply of liquor and money, strict action will be taken,” warned Rural SP A.K. Jha.

Returning Officer for the election and district Collector Vakati Karuna said all departments are involved in the conduct of election
