Plot owners allege occupation of lands

June 23, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:43 am IST - SANGAREDDY:

Members of Maruthinagar Colony Plot Owners Association of Patelguda village in Kishtareddypet panchayat limits of Medak district urged the administration to protect their lands from occupiers.

The members of the association held a dharna before the Collectorate on Monday. They said that they hail from Andhra region and had purchased lands more than three decades back in survey numbers 6,7,8,9 and 10 with an intention to construct houses but they could not do so due to various reasons. They said that their lands are being occupied by one Madhava Reddy, a local leader, and that they are being abused as settlers. Though the Land Grabbing Court passed an injunction order, houses are being constructed on the said area with the connivance of local authorities, they alleged.

They urged the authorities to intervene and do justice for them without any delay and submitted a memorandum to District Revenue Officer Mr. Dayanand, who assured them that he will look into the matter and do justice. - Staff Reporter
