‘Optimum use of human resources key to development’

Senior professor of management in Kakatiya University, Veluru Venkata Subramanya Sharma, has said that the use of human resources in a proper and effective manner is the key to economic development.

Delivering the keynote address at the national seminar on the Development of Human Resources and Policies conducted by the Department of Management of Telangana University at its college, here on Thursday, Prof. Sharma said that effective planning was necessary to utilise human resources at an optimum level.

The use of human resources for the promotion of public good is a real challenge for managers, he said and emphasised the need for adopting scientific and modern methods in human resource management. Registrar R. Limbadri felt that human resources experts should have a scientific perspective to promote social well-being. MBA students should improve their skills and employability in accordance with the requirements of the industry, he said. They should fully understand the theories propounded by management experts, he added.

Head of the Department of Management, T. Satyanarayana Chary, said that the management of human resources was important in management studies.
