The district-level science project competitions of the 23rd National Children’s Science Congress (NCSC) will be held at Hanamkonda in November first week.
DEO Rajeev wanted the high school managements and teachers to motivate students to come up with innovative scientific projects on the specified themes of the Children’s Science Congress. The academic coordinator NCSC Warangal, V. Gurunadha Rao, said for the past 23 years, students across the country have been spending every extra minute of their free time working on such environmentally conscious and scientific projects as part of the project work for the NCSC competition. The Government of India’s NCSTC Department of Science and Technology began the NCSC project in an attempt to encourage students to exhibit their creativity and innovativeness. Over the years this project has not only made students across the city scientifically sound, but also environmentally sensitized. The district and State-level Children’s Science Congress will be jointly organised by the State Council of Science and Technology in association with the Department of School Education and the State Council of Educational Research and Training. The district coordinator K. Ramgopal Reddy said the project competitions are being organised for students between 10 and 17 years of age and competitions will be held on the theme “Understanding Weather and Climate”.
