He was admitted to hospital a week ago for post COVID complications with extensive lung damage

Former Home Minister and Member of Legislative Council Nayani Narasimha Reddy died while undergoing treatment at a corporate hospital in Hyderabad just past midnight.

He was 86 and admitted to hospital a week ago for post COVID complications with extensive lung damage, a statement of Apollo Hospitals said.

Mr. Reddy had tested positive for COVID-19 on September 28 but it turned out negative in subsequent test.
