Missing B.Tech student’s parents attempt suicide

Distraught over missing son, a couple attempted suicide near the Mahabubabad railway station here on Friday.

According to information, T. Bhojya Naik and Padma had a son named Naveeen Naik who was studying in B.Tech final year at a private college in Hyderabad and he went missing nine months ago. They belonged to Collector thanda on the outskirts of Sirole village of Kuravi mandal in the district.

Bhojya Naik was working as security officer at a star hotel in Hyderabad after his retirement from the CRPF.

He tried his best to trace his son, but in vain. Frustrated, Naik and his wife consumed pesticide near Mahababubad railway station after informing their relatives.

Shifted to hospital

Relatives rushed to the spot and shifted them to a private hospital for treatment and their condition was said to be critical.

Bhojya Naik and Padma have a daughter, Pooja, who is studying in B.Tech third year in Hyderabad.
