City Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar has appealed to citizens to make optimum use of the ‘Dial 100’ service for safer living.

Speaking at the promotional event of the Airtel Hyderabad Marathon (to be held on August 25 and 26) here on Tuesday, the top cop said, “Not all citizens seek the help of Dial 100. We have the capacity to handle about 1,000 calls, but right now, we are getting about 400 to 600 daily. So, I appeal to everyone in need to make full use of the professional set-up backed by qualified personnel that ensures cops reach the destination of the needy within 10 minutes,” Mr. Anjanu Kumar said, pledging his full support to the marathon.

Race Director Abhijeet Madnurkar said the marathon on August 25 (5K run) and August 26 (10K, half marathon, full marathon, now certified by Association of International Marathons and Distance Races), has attracted a record 22,500 entries, 3500 from outside the city and some from abroad, including African nations.

Avneet Singh Puri, CEO, Bharti Airtel (AP and Telangana) was also present.
