The Telangana Vidyut Engineers Association (TVEA) has hailed the synchronisation of the 800-MW super-critical unit of the Kothagudem Thermal Power Station’s stage VII at Palvancha with the State grid as a record feat achieved in a span of less than three years.

In a statement, TVEA president Nehru and general secretary N. Bhaskar thanked Telangana State Power Generation Corporation Ltd (TS-Genco) chairman and managing director D. Prabhakar Rao for helping the KTPS achieve the feat in record time.

They said all cadres of employees, including engineers and technicians of the KTPS worked in tandem under the leadership of Mr Rao resulting in speedy synchronisation of the 800-MW unit with the State grid on Saturday night.

Saturday marked a milestone in the history of the power sector with the commencement of power generation in the KTPS’ 800-MW super-critical unit, they remarked.
