‘Kavi Sammelan’ spreads eco-conservation message

As a prelude to the ambitious Haritha Haram programme, the district administration conducted ‘Kavi Sammelan’ programme to educate people about the importance of planting saplings and protecting the environment, in Karimnagar on Saturday.

Additional Joint Collector Nagendra inaugurated the ‘Kavi Sammelan’.

The local poets read out their poems on the importance of protection of trees for the mankind and for bountiful rains and also protection from pollution.

Speaking on the occasion, the Additional Joint Collector called upon the poets and writers to play a crucial role for the success of Haritha Haram programme.

He also felicitated the poets on the occasion.

DWMA Project Director Ganesh, poets Madishetty Gopal, Anantha Charya and others were also present.
