Karimnagar police organise rally for greenery

In order to educate people about the importance of plantation of saplings to protect nature during the Haritha Haram programme, the Karimnagar district police have organised a massive rally by involving students of various educational institutions in Karimnagar on Monday.

Students assembled at the SRR government Arts and Science College and participated in the rally, which was flagged off by district judge Naga Maruthi Sharma in the presence of Collector Neetu Prasad, Superintendent of Police D Joel Davis and others. The rally passed through all important streets of the town and converged into a meeting at Indira Chowk.

On this occasion, the speakers have called upon the student community to play a responsible role for the protection of environment by taking up plantation.

RDO Chandrashekhar, DSP J Rama Rao, CIs Hariprasad, Sadanandam, Mahesh, Srinivas, Narender, Suvarna. SRR college principal B Madhusudhan Reddy, Alphores Educational Institutions chairman V Narender Reddy and others were also present.
