The district administration has inquired into the alleged land dealings in four survey numbers, including three in Kollur village of Medak district, which was referred by the Principal Secretary (Revenue), said district Collector Rahul Bojja. The government land was to be distributed among freedom fighters and ex-servicemen.

Responding to a question asked by a ZPTC member during the Zilla Parishad meeting, the Collector said the final inquiry would be completed soon and report would be sent to the State government.

The ZP meeting, chaired by A. Rajamani and attended by Legislative Council Chairman K. Swami Goud, was convened to seek the consent of all the members on sending development proposals to the government under Backward Regions Grant Fund (BRGF) worth Rs. 39.24 lakh.

Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Aseerwadam assured the members that the issues raised by them would be included in the proposals depending on the availability of funds.

Stating that a major part of 290 acres of land in Ameenpur was already encroached, MLC V. Bhoopal Reddy urged the Collector to protect government land.

Ramachandrapuram ZPTC member alleged that a chunk of land at Osman Nagar was encroached and therefore, there was an urgent need to address the issue.

Dwelling on other issues, another MLC, P. Sadhakar Reddy, urged Mr. Rahul Bojja to relieve about 150 teachers who were transferred in May, 2013.

G. Anjaiah, ZPTC member from Raikod, said that villages were affected by seasonal diseases and asked the administration to send medical teams to these areas.
