Minister for Agriculture Pocharam Srinivas Reddy called upon parents to provide better health to their wards by getting them administered the new vaccine Pentavalent on the doctors’ prescription.
Releasing the veils of vaccine at the Government General Hospital here on Tuesday, he said earlier it used to be available at private pharmacies, but was now kept at every government hospital. The vaccine would protect children from five diseases such as tetanus, hepatitis-B, haemophilia, he said.
Joint Collector A. Ravinder Reddy, Revenue Divisional Officer P. Yadi Reddy, District Medical and Health Officer Basweswari and Government Medical College Principal P. Jijiya Bai were present.
