The renovated Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple atop Yadagirigutta is a wonder and a spiritual heaven for devotees, head of Visakha Sri Sarada Peetham Sri Swaroopanandendra Swamy said on Tuesday.

He gave credit for the ‘rock-cut’ construction of the main temple to Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

“A lot of people in the country say we are Hindus, but CM KCR built and showed what others could not do. The temple is a spiritual heaven for devotees, and it should further develop like Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam,” he said, later speaking to media persons.

Accompanied by temple executive officer N. Geeta, Sri Swaroopanandendra Swamy along with his team performed special prayers in the sanctum sanctorum and later inspecting the temple admired its construction.

He observed that temples are a treasure of Sanatana Dharma, and must not be viewed in the confinements of Vaishnana or Shaivite traditions, while also added that Hindu temples were not anyone’s properties.

It is Jagadguru Sri Adi Shankaracharya’s Amnaya tradition from ancient Hinduism that is being followed by Yadadri temple, he said.
