Five-day Sahasra Chandi Yagam concludes

The five-day Chandi Yagam taken up by Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) president and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao concluded on Friday at Yerravalli in Markook mandal of Siddipet district.

On the concluding day of Sahasra Maha Chandi yagam on Friday purnaahuti ritual was performed in all the eight mandaps. Under the stewardship of Swarupananda Swamy Saraswati of Sarada Peetham in Visakhapatnam, Mr. Chandrashekhar Rao along with his wife and family members attended poornaahuti at all the mandaps.

Purnaahuti was first performed at Rajasyamala Mandapam, Bagalamukhi mandapam, Navagraha, Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda, Adharvana veda mandapams. Following which the ritual began at the Chandimata Maha mandap.

In the forenoon session, Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao and his wife performed the rituals at Rajasyamala mandap.

The Yagam commenced on January 21. After Punyahavachanam and performing Gau (cow) Pooja on the premises of the yagashaala along with his wife, Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao generated fire by a traditional ritualistic system.

Vishakha Saradha Peethadhipati Swaroopanandendra Swamy, Seeta Rama Sastry from Sringeri, Narendra Kapre, Madugula Manikya Somayajulu and other purohits led the rituals.
