Utnoor Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) Project Officer R.V. Karnan on Saturday urged Adivasi parents to enrol their children in Ashram schools from fourth standard onwards for the latter to take full benefit of the education provided by the ITDA. He said that enrolment of all eligible tribal children in schools should be done without fail.

Interacting with tribal inhabitants of Kolamguda and remote Dharmajipet hamlets of Birsaipet gram panchayat in Utnoor mandal, the Project Officer explained the need for the Adivasis to have access to government welfare programmes. He told them about the various schemes that the government has introduced for their benefit.

Mr. Karnan said he will examine the feasibility of sinking a bore-well at Dharmajipet. He also distributed solar lamps among 21 families in that village.
