Collector exhorts youth to join NCC

Adilabad Collector M. Jagan Mohan on Tuesday exhorted youth to join the National Cadet Corps (NCC) to build their personality. He said governments accorded recognition to such training by providing reservations in education and employment to NCC cadets.

Valedictory

Addressing cadets and NCC officials at the valedictory of the 10-day annual NCC training camp here, the Collector said youngsters will also inculcate discipline if they train in NCC. Colonel Ravichander, Commanding Officer of the 32 (TS) BN NCC, Adilabad said about 500 cadets, 150 of them being girls, from Adilabad, Karimnagar, Nizamabad and Medak districts participated in the annual training camp.

Training

He said the cadets were given training in map reading, weapons shooting, drill, survey conducting, health and hygiene etc. The cadets presented a cultural programme which was a cynosure of all eyes.
