CCTV surveillance system at Collectorate soon

May 09, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:56 am IST - KHAMMAM:

The Collectorate building in the town will be brought under a comprehensive closed circuit television (CCTV) surveillance system soon. Efforts are under way to install over a dozen high resolution CCTV cameras at vantage points on the premises of the Collectorate, the hub of the district administration, according to sources.

A centralised control room is being set up at the reception counter to oversee the operation of CCTV network, enhance surveillance and fortify the security system, sources said. Meanwhile, the town police have drawn up a plan to extend the CCTV surveillance system to some other important public places in the next couple of days.
