Caught red-handed

Cooperative Department Assistant Registrar T. Krishnamurthy was caught red-handed by the Anti-Corruption Bureau officials here on Thursday. He was caught while accepting a bribe of Rs. 60,000 for an official favour. ACB DSP R. Sai Baba and Inspector S.V. Raghavendra Rao said the officer had earlier taken Rs. One lakh to write a favour report in an inquiry he was heading into the misappropriation of funds in PACs Hanamkonda. He would be produced before the ACB court on Friday, the ACB officials said.
