Coinciding with the seventh anniversary of a 42 day general strike by government staff demanding separate Telangana, the Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS), CPI and Telugu Desam which are exploring an alliance for the coming elections organised a sit-in at the office of TJS here on Wednesday in memory of martyrs of Telangana. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kodandaram assured that the TJS will work with all parties that were committed to end the rule of feudal lords in the State. The goal of movement for separate Telangana should be achieved.
CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy praised the role of Mr. Kodandaram as the head of Telangana joint action committee in forging unity among all forces struggling for separate Telangana. He said CPI enjoyed an inseparable tie up with TJS. The non-TRS and non-BJP parties will form an alliance to dethrone the government.
Telugu Desam politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy said the TDP will abide by any decision taken by Mr. Kodandaram which is in the interest of alliance.
