Cultural programmes, sports events, debates, and felicitations marked the alumnae reunion of Women’s College, marking its golden jubilee celebration, here on Monday.

The day-long programme was preceded by a march past presented by NCC cadets of the college. Noted writers Nalini Rao, Nellutla Ramadevi, Kondaveeti Satyavathi, G. Satya Jaya Pradha, and B. Vizia Bharathi, and Commissioner of BC Welfare, Government of Telangana, G.D. Aruna, who also studied in the college, addressed the gathering.

Former MP and college president M. Narayana Reddy attended the programme as chief guest, and released the golden jubilee souvenir.

He spoke about the journey of the college since the last 50 years.

Management committee secretary G. Krupakar Reddy, member G. Amruthalatha, and principal Sadia Begum also participated in the event.
