121 youth trained by Warangal Police get recruited as civil police constables

The city police were elated at the result of constable recruitment test as 121 youth — 89 boys and 32 girls — out of 220 who attended the free coaching they had organised got selected.

Enthused with the fruits of their labour, the police organised a get together of successful candidates and their parents. The function attained festive look with broad smiles from police officials and successful candidates. The parents profusely thanked the police for helping their wards get government jobs.

The city police organised a free 90-day coaching to 220 youth. They were all given ₹3,000 worth study material and free food in the afternoon. Police mobilised best of the teachers in various subjects and imparted quality training to participants.

Efforts rewarded

At the get together, the participants competed with each other to take a photograph with City Police Commissioner G. Sudheer Babu. He patiently obliged them with a smile. Addressing the gathering, Mr. Sudheer Babu urged the successful candidates to ensure that each one of them help 10 others in various ways.

He said the credit goes to all the participants who could muster courage to attend the coaching for 90-days and made unrelenting efforts to pass the recruitment test.

The Commissioner said it was a first of its kind programme organised by the police in the State. They identified poorest of the poor and helped them crack the examination and secure government job.

Friendly police

The programme was part of the people friendly police that is being implemented in the Commissionerate.

“I am delighted to see so many successful candidates coming out of our free coaching programme. This will only encourage us to conduct more such programmes in future. We wish students from lower economic strata come forward and make use of our efforts,” he said. DCPs Venugopal Rao, Ismail and Venkanna, ACPs, inspectors and others were present.
