The three-day Maharudra Yagam will begin at Perur in Medak district on Saturday.
According to Dorbala Rajamouli Sharma, one of the organisers, as many as 108 Homa Gundams were erected to perform rituals for the yagam.
About 100 priests would recite Vedic verses, he said.
