: Admissions in degree colleges have been opened again by the Telangana government and students who have missed applying online can apply till September 23.

Similarly, the facility will be opened for change of course and also change of medium during this period. T. Vijaya Kumar, Commissioner of Collegiate Education, said the decision was taken since several students missed out due to various factors.

He said in five phases of online registration so far, 2,03,149 students got admissions in 1,086 colleges, including 130 government degree colleges. Apart from these, 22,615 seats were filled outside the online system due to court orders. Therefore, more than 2.25 lakh students were able to secure admissions in 2016-17 which is as good as previous year’s figures, he said.

Registrations can be done on http://dost.cgg.gov.in before September 23.
