The Telangana State Government on Tuesday cancelled transfer of Adilabad Collector M. Jagan Mohan after two Ministers from the district impressed upon Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao the need to rescind the order issued on Monday.

Housing and Endowment Minister A. Indrakaran Reddy and Backward Classes Welfare and Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna had rushed to Hyderabad on Monday after the Government had issued the transfer orders.

According to sources, the Ministers and MP G. Nagesh could convince the Chief Minister about the need for retaining Mr. Jagan Mohan in the district to implement government programmes. The orders to retain the present Collector reached the district headquarters on Tuesday.
