Three youths, all aged 23 years, were killed in a road accident near Burugupalli in Mamda mandal of Adilabad district early on Monday when the lorry driven by them hit the road divider on NH 44 and slid for about 200 mtrs before turning upside down.
Two of the youths were identified as drivers of the vehicle laden with motorcycles and the third one remained unidentified. Police found identification papers only on one body, that of Mukesh, who belonged to Chatarpur in Haryana. The other person was identified just as Bharat.
According to the police the motorcycle laden lorry had started from Faridabad in Haryana and was destined for Kurnool. The accident took place at a spot on the highway which is known as accident prone owing to faulty and unscientific road design.
