RGIA police on Monday arrested three persons in connection with the recently-busted visa racket. Shail Khan, Zaheer and Shankar were remanded to judicial custody.

Last month, Cyberabad police busted an international human trafficking gang who used to alter work visas, duplicate visit visas and send people to Kuwait. A security deposit of 750 Kuwaiti Dinars, approximately ₹1.50 lakh, had to be paid by the employer in Kuwait to Protector of Emigrants (PoE) office, police said.

The gang used hot iron box to remove work visa documents affixed on the passports.

RGIA inspector G. Vijay Bhaskar Reddy said that the accused were acting as sub-agents in Kadapa and sent innocent victims to Kuwait without valid PoE clearance.
