Two persons were killed and over 20 others injured in a road accident on Hyderabad-Nagarjunasagar Road near Devla Tanda of Chinthapally mandal on Wednesday. Manya Nayak, 35, a native of Madgula of Mahabubnagar district, was proceeding towards Hyderabad on his bike, when he collided head-on with another person, Ramulu coming on a two-wheeler. Manya Nayak, Ramulu and his wife sustained injuries. A large number of Devla Tanda residents rushed to their rescue and tried to shift them to Area Hospital, at Deavarakonda. Meanwhile, a Scorpio proceeding towards Hyderabad ran over the villagers and the victims. Manya Nayak, auto-driver and Vankdoth Bheemudu,30, were killed on the spot and 24 others sustained injuries.
