Do not be apprehensive about the survey, says Collector

Collector M. Veerabrahmaiah has called upon people to actively participate in the integrated household survey without any apprehensions about losing their ration cards and other welfare schemes.

Briefing newsmen about the arrangements made for the conduct of the household survey in Karimnagar town on Sunday along with Joint Collector Sarfaraz Ahmed and Superintendent of Police V. Shiva Kumar, the Collector said that they had identified a total of 11.80 lakh households in the district and deployed 43,276 enumerators for the conduct of the survey on August 19.

He said that they had appointed coordinators for the villages (1,356), mandals (57), Assembly segment (13) and zonal level (228).

He said that Karimnagar town tops with 72,678 households followed by 57,187 households in the Ramagundam coal belt region.

Jagtial town has 26,138 households and Sircilla 24,950 households. Stating that they had imparted training to all the enumerators, he said that it was only voluntary service by the enumerators and there would not be any remuneration except for logistical support.

People have been asked to dial toll-free number 18004254731 for any clarification on the household survey.

The completed household survey reports will be computerised from August 20 onwards in Karimnagar by deploying 3,000 data entry operators.

Superintendent of Police V. Shiva Kumar said that they had deployed 3,500 police personnel including educated home guards as enumerators for the conduct of the household survey in the district.

Besides, 200 mobile patrolling teams have been constituted to prevent any untoward incident. In case of any problems during the survey, he asked people to inform the police.
