P. Ilavarasan (22), an estate worker, was arrested on Thursday on the charge of raping a minor girl.
The police said that he offered to drop her home on his two-wheeler while she was waiting for a bus to return home after special classes.
He took her to a secluded place, and committed the crime.
On returning home, she informed her parents.
They preferred a complaint.
The police have registered a case under Section 366A of IPC, and Sections 3 and 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.
