Shrines and samadhi in the Yogi Ramsuratkumar (Visiri Samiyar) Ashram here will be consecrated next month.

Construction of the Ashram began in Tiruvannamalai in 1994 and Yogi Ramsuratkumar died in February 2001 when the construction almost reached completion. A Lingam was erected over his samadhi and a temple like structure was built around it.

The ashram and yogi’s shrine and shrines of Yoga Ganapathi in front of the Pradhan Mantir and Biksheshwar in Veda Patasala were consecrated in June 2004.

It is now almost 12 years since the original consecration was performed. The Ashram administration has renovated these structures and have plans for a consecration on March 25 this year.

Paranur Krishnapremi Swamigal, Maharanyam Muralitharan Swamigal and Thapovanam Nithyanandgiri Swamigal were among those who would participate in the consecration ceremony. Meanwhile, the ashram administration has planned a function to mark the completion of 200th month of Sadhu Bhojan and free medical camp on February 14.
