Written test for posts of Lab Assistant in govt. schools

Written examination for the posts of Lab Assistants in government schools was held at 89 centres across the district on Sunday.

For the 108 Lab Assistants vacancies in the district, 38,503 persons had applied and 30,818 of them sat for the exam. A total of 1,925 invigilators had been deployed.

Collector M. Karunakaran inspected the examination centre at St. Xavier’s Higher Secondary School, Palayamkottai, along with Chief Educational Officer M. Swaminathan.

Nagercoil

A total of 18,968 candidates appeared for the examination in Kanyakumari district.

Inspecting the test centres in Scott Christian College and Pon Jesley College of Engineering in Nagercoil, Collector Sajjansingh R. Chavan said that 21,569 candidates applied for the examination. Of them, 18,968 took the examination at 21 centres across the district. Chief Educational Officer A.S. Radhakrishnan accompanied the Collector. Twenty-five teams monitored the conduct of the examination. Hall tickets were issued to 13 candidates who could not download them online.

Tuticorin

A total of 18, 147 candidates appeared in 47 centres in Tuticorin district
