District level sports selection trials for students of standards 7, 8, 9 and 11 for admission to the various sports hostels run by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT), was originally scheduled to be held at the Government Nethaji Stadium.
The trials will now be held at the Christian Medical College ground in Bagayam here from 8 a.m. onwards on May 4.
The venue has been shifted in view of the work on laying the track in the Nethaji Stadium.
A. Nagarajan, District Sports and Youth Welfare Officer, SDAT, Vellore Unit said in a release that the selection trials would be held for admission to the sports hostels to provide training to the students in the following games:
Boys: athletics, shuttle badminton, basketball, boxing, cricket, football, fencing, gymnastics, handball, hockey, swimming, taekwondo, volleyball and weightlifting.
Girls: athletics, basketball, football, fencing, handball, hockey, tennis, volleyball and weightlifting.
Will be held at CMC ground in Bagayam
