Two college students die in accident

Two college students died, when a motorcycle on which they were travelling, collided with a two-wheeler near Chengalpattu on Thursday.

One of them died on the spot while the other died at the hospital.

Devaraj (21) and Nithyanandham (22) were travelling towards Paiyanur on the Chengalpattu-Thirukazhukundram Road along with Vignesh, one of their other friends, when their motorcycle collided with a two-wheeler around 8.30. In the impact, Devaraj died on the spot.

Nithyanandham who was rushed to the Chengalpattu Medical College Hospital eventually succumbed to injuries.

Vignesh and the two men travelling on the other two-wheeler — Mahesh and Ravi — sustained injuries and are getting treated at CMC hospital. The Chengalpattu Taluk police have registered a case and investigations are currently on. – Staff Reporter
