Two Anganwadi centres opened

Two anganwadi centres were inaugurated by Mayor A.P.R. Anthony Grace here on Wednesday in the presence of Commissioner S. Madhumathi. Adequate facilities have been made in these centres located on the premises of Seena Vaana Corporation Elementary School on WGC road.

Later, the Mayor along with officials performed a boomi pooja for the construction of a storm water drainage canal at KVK Nagar. The channel would go up to a length of 135 meters and works were taken up at a cost of Rs.1 crore under operation and maintenance gap filling fund. The works were expected to be completed before September this year, sources said.
