Once Jayalalithaa becomes Chief Minister, the government will focus on three key aspects to put the State back on track.

1. Global Investors Meet - As the meeting has been repeatedly postponed waiting for her to return as Chief Minister, the government will go all out to make the State an attractive destination for investment again.

2. Revitalising IT industry - Chennai being a major player in the information technology revolution, a renewed approach to power IT is on the cards.

3. Local Administration - Developmental works in urban and rural local bodies, such as poor condition of Chennai's roads, will be another focus area in the election year.
