Tamil Nadu Toddy Movement, Erode, will join the strike against ban on Jallikattu, on November 25 at Kangeyam. The Movement asked the government to discuss about removing the ban, at the upcoming monsoon session. According to a press release, the Movement also urged the South Indian Actors’ Association to extend its support in the toddy issue.

Cleanliness programme

Sri Sathya Sai Seva Sangam conducted a cleanliness programme on Sunday at Old Bus stand, Pollachi, as part of the 90{+t}{+h}birth anniversary celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Nearly 100 volunteers from the Sangam, Sree Saraswathi Thyagaraja College and the local body workers participated in the programme. Dhoties and sarees were distributed to the workers. The collected waste would be disposed of by the municipality.
