TNSTC workers protest inside regional office


Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) workers staged a protest inside the regional office here on Tuesday as police denied permission to stage protest in front of the office. Workers attached to pro DMK Thozhilalar Munnetra Sangam (Tho.Mu.Sa.) asked for permission to hold a demonstration in front of the regional office in the ring road here demanding the government to give benefits of Bonus Amendment Act 2015 with effect from 2014-15 fiscal.

Other demands include maintenance of buses and not to force drivers and conductors to work longhours. Sounderrajan, General Secretary of Transport Tho.Mu.Sa. peravai said that since police denied permission they staged protest inside the campus of the TNSTC regional office.
