The State government will continue to fight for exemption from NEET for medical admissions even as it groomed students to compete in various all-India examinations, School Education Minister K.A. Sengottaiyan told journalists here on Monday.

On the sidelines of a function organised by the CSI Immanuel Church, he said that as part of grooming students, the government was committed to improving the quality of school education. In this regard, it had made 47 announcements. Many more were in the offing.

To help Plus-One and Plus-Two students, the government would provide a book with 54,000 questions and answers and maps. The government had consulted experts and preparation of the questions was under way. It would soon announce the date of release.

On the infrastructure front too, the State government was committed to developing its schools.
