A female tiger cub that strayed into a goat shed in a settlement at Bhospara in the Mudumalai Tiger Reserve (MTR), near here, caused a flutter on Tuesday.

Enquiries revealed that the animal, aged less than a year, could not find a way out after killing a goat. When people gathered near the shed, it moved into a corner.

Forest officials reached the spot, put it in a cage and took it away.
