Three children sent to Government Orphanage

Three children, including two girls, all orphans, accommodated in an unauthorised home run by private agency at Swathanthiram village near Arimalam were rescued on Thursday.

A team of officials led by Annapoorani, District Social Welfare Officer, visited the village and take them into their care. The children were studying in local schools and accommodated in the home for the past few years, according to official sources.

S. Ganesh, District Collector, has advised the officials to accommodate them at the Sathya Ammaiyar Memorial Government Orphanage.
