The Joint Entrance Examination (Mains), the entrance test for admission to centrally funded institutions, is currently on.

Spread over several days — January 9 to 12 — more than 11 lakh candidates have registered for the test. The results will be announced on January 31.

Moderately tough

By and large the difficulty level of questions has remained moderate, according to the coaching centres.

Candidates in the first two slots on Wednesday found the test moderately tough and the questions in physics, chemistry and mathematics ranged from easy to moderate to difficult.

On Thursday, the difficulty level of the questions was no different.
