Stalin’s campaign

DMK treasurer M.K. Stalin would begin his third leg of ‘Namakku Naame’ campaign in the district on October 26.

R. Rajendran, party’s Salem central district secretary, told reporters here on Thursday that he would be given a rousing welcome at Theevattipatti on October 25.

Cadre of various political parties would join the DMK in the presence of Mr. Stalin at two functions to be held in the evening.

He would meet farmers, brick kiln unit owners, members of women self-help groups, traders, and students.

He would continue his campaign in the district on October 27.

Mr. Rajendran said that so far, Mr. Stalin had covered 144 Assembly constituencies in 23 districts travelling around 7,000 km.

Tour programme

He said that the detailed tour programme for the district would be released soon.
