Southern Railway will operate special trains between Chennai Central and Ernakulam through Salem, Erode, Tirupur and Coimbatore in July.
A press release from the Salem Railway Division said that train No.06065 Chennai Central – Ernakulam Junction superfast special train will leave Chennai Central at 10.30 p.m. on July 3 and 10 and reach Ernakulam Junction at 10.50 a.m., the next day.
The train will leave Salem at 3.20 a.m. the next day, Erode 4.30 a.m., Tirupur 5.15 a.m. and Coimbatore 6.40 a.m. before arriving at Ernakulam.
Train No. 06066 Ernakulam Junction – Chennai Central superfast special train will leave Ernakulam Junction at 7 p.m. on July 5 and 12 and will reach Chennai Central at 7.15 a.m.
The train will leave Coimbatore at 11.25 p.m., Tirupur 12.10 a.m. the next day, Erode 12.55 a.m., Salem 1.55 a.m. before arriving at Chennai Central.
The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpet, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Ottapalam, Thrissur, and Aluva. Train No.06065 Chennai Central – Ernakulam Junction special will stop at Ernakulam Town also.
The train No.06066 Ernakulam Junction – Chennai Central superfast special train will stop at Perambur also.
Advance reservation for these trains commenced on June 25.
