Secretaries for key departments appointed

The government on Monday appointed secretaries for the key departments of health, food and public.

Girija Vaidyanathan, Commissioner, Maternal Child Health & Welfare, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Health & Family Welfare Department, in the place of S. Vijayakumar, holding additional charge.

Jatindranath Swain, Registrar, Cooperative Societies, has been posted as Secretary, Cooperation, Food & Consumer Protection Department, in the place of V.K. Jayakodi, holding additional charge.

Kumar Jayant, Commissioner, Technical Education, has been posted as Secretary, Public and Rehabilitation Department, in the place of S. Karuthiah Pandian, holding additional charge.

Surjit K. Chaudhary, Principal Secretary, Planning and Development Department, has been posted as Chairman of Teachers Recruitment Board in the place of D. Sabitha, holding additional charge.

R. Vijayakumar, Chairman and Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited, has been posted as Principal Secretary, Planning and Development. V. Chandrasekaran, Director, Handlooms and Textiles, has been posted as Managing Director, Slum Clearance Board, said an official release.

The same day, the government has also transferred out 21 District Collectors giving them new postings. P. Umanath, Collector, Coimbatore, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Finance Department, in the place of D. Karthikeyan, already transferred.

P. Seetharaman, Collector, Cuddalore, has been posted as Project Director, Post Tsunami Sustainable Livelihood Porgramme, in the place of K. Gopal, holding additional charge. M Vallalar, Collector, Dindigul, has been posted as Additional Commissioner of Industries and Commerce in the place of V. Sampath, already transferred.

C. Kamaraj, Collector, Erode, has been posted as Deputy Secretary, Transport Department, in the place of R. Lilly, already transferred. Rajendra Ratnoo, Collector, Kanniyakumari, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Department of Special Programme Implementation.

J. Uma Maheswari, Collector, Karur, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Higher Education Department. R. Palaniswamy, Collector, Villupuram, has been posted as Joint Commissioner of Municipal Administration in the place of Reeta Harish Thakkar, transferred.

M. Vijayakumar, Collector, Perambalur, has been posted as Deputy Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Department. A. Suganthi, Collector, Pudukottai, has been posted as Deputy Secretary, Social Welfare & Nutritious Meal Programme Department. T.N. Hariharan, Collector, Ramanathapuram, has been posted as Deputy Secretary, Rural Development & Panchayat Raj Department.

J. Chandrakumar, Collector, Salem, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Revenue Department. M.S. Shanmugam, Collector, Thanjavur, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Industries Department, in the place of Selvi Apoorva, already transferred.

M. Jayaraman, Collector, Tirunelveli, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Labour & Employment Department in the place of T. Abraham, already transferred. T.P. Rajesh, Collector, Tiruvallur, has been posted as Deputy Secretary, Tamil Development, Religious Endowments & Information Department.

C. Samayamoorthy, Collector, Tiruppur, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Public (Protocol) Department, in the place of R. Vasuki, already transferred. T.K. Ponnusamy, Collector, Ariyalur, has been posted as Joint Secretary, Energy Department. V. Palanikumar, Collector, Vellore, has been posted at Project Director and Member Secretary, Tamil Nadu State AIDS Control Society, in the place of Ruolkhumlien Buhril, deputed to the Centre.

S. Madumathi, Collector, Namakkal, has been posted as Deputy Commissioner (Health), Chennai Corporation. V. Sampath, Collector, Sivaganga, has been posted as Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Industrial Explosives Limited, in the place of G. Prakash, holding additional charge. Mahesan Kasirajan, Collector, Tiruchirappalli, has been posted as Executive Director, Tamil Nadu Watershed Development Agency.
