School vehicles inspected

District Collector A. Gnanasekaran inspected school vehicles at the RTO on Wednesday.

He said that mandatory inspection of all school vehicles is being held in the district. Condition of seats, emergency exit, first aid box and the way the vehicle has been constructed are evaluated. Suggestions for repairs will be given and this should be implemented before June. A second round would begin by May 29, he added.

RTO Alagarasu, Chief Educational Officer Pugalendhi, Motor Vehicle Inspectors Mohan and Senthilkumar were present.
